Sales Support Associate

To supplement our current period of growth, John Vena, Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Support Associate who will be responsible for assisting Salespeople and Buyers with all facets of the sales process.

The primary responsibilities and duties of the position include:

  • Enter inventory, create sales tickets and Bills of Lading 
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to send out general and customer specific price lists and sales proposals
  • Coordinate and arrange transportation for outbound orders
  • Maintain sales records, expense reports and electronic databases for prospective customers
  • Answer telephones, direct calls and occasionally take customer’s orders
  • Provide customer service in a pleasant, efficient manner on the phone, in-person and electronically.
  • Maintain personal knowledge of market conditions in order to promptly answer customer’s questions regarding product availability and pricing, market trends and product seasonality
  • Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
  • Represent John Vena, Inc. in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail
  • Produce industry experience preferred
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Proficient in computer use (Windows, Excel, Word)

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience in sales or administration preferred
