Green Papaya

Green papaya has a smooth green skin instead of the usual yellow-orange exterior. Inside, you'll find a mild flesh that is crisp and crunchy, most comparable to a radish. The green papaya does contain seeds. Green papaya is most often used in Southeast Asia, sliced into thin strips and included in salads, such as the popluar Som Tum. Papayas are high in antioxidants, and contain benefiicial enzymes, such as papain, which assists the human digestive system.
