Dominican Avocado

Similar in size and shape to the Florida avocados, Dominican avocados are large, smooth skinned, and don't turn black when ripe.  The Dominican Republic is actually one of the largest avocado producing countries.  There are several varieties in particular that are primarily widespread, the most noteable being the Semil 34, followed by the Choquette. The Dominican Republic has been consistent in its exporting of the fruit.  The US has been their number one target being their geographical neighbr.
