Parsley

Parsley is a biennial herb said to have originated in Iran. It is widely cultivated all across the Middle East and Mediterranean region. It is grown for it's leaves, which are three lobed, appearing on long thin stems. Flat leaf parsley is preferred for cooking because it is higher in essential oil than the curly form.
